About Me.

My therapeutic style draws from existential, depth-oriented, attachment theory,  and humanistic schools of thought.  I incorporate elements of art therapy and Jungian therapy, such as dreamwork and active imagination, to support clients in recognizing their own innate talents to gain valuable insights that align with their unique profiles. Areas for exploration include examining the past and its impact on the present, identifying patterns that shape relationships,  and developing sustainable coping skills for growth.

I am passionate about working with members of all historically marginalized groups, which includes a commitment to providing LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming therapy to my clients. As a late diagnosed Autistic-ADHDer, I understand the complexities involved in gaining insight to the unique ways the neurodivergent brain processes the world against an often biased clinical background. Neurodivergent affirming therapy is especially important for women, LGBTQ+, and POC because it recognizes the intersecting identities and experiences of individuals, challenges stigma and discrimination, promotes cultural responsiveness, empowers individuals, and aligns with principles of social justice.

Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) Level 1

TRM Level 1 is based upon neuroception, neuroplasticity, co-regulation, solution-focused psychotherapy, somatic-based therapies, the regulatory capacity of the autonomic nervous system, and the growing field of interoceptive awareness.  Using a mind-body approach, TRM introduces a paradigm shift in treating trauma, whereby symptoms are treated as normal biological responses rather than pathological or mental weaknesses.

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)

The primary focus of CRM is to educate individuals about the biology and neurophysiology of trauma, stress, and resilience, as well as teach simple biologically based wellness skills, which can help reset and stabilize the nervous system.
